A New Storm approaches: Seattle’s 2023 WNBA Draft recap
Entering a new era, the Seattle Storm likely needed a successful draft to send them into the future the right way. While it’s extremely early and there is still much to take place before an accurate judgement can be made on the four selections that Seattle made in this years draft, the Storm got four athletic and versatile players with one being a steal at the pick she was drafted.
40 High School Students Take Flight With Alaska Airlines and UNCF

On Saturday, Alaska Airlines and UNCF teamed up to begin a historic experience for 40 high school students from the Pacific Northwest. The students and their chaperones were flown to Atlanta aboard Alaska’s Our Commitment aircraft for a trip that will include visits to HBCUs around the Atlanta area.

Garfield Super Block Announces Design Plans for Renovation Project
Garfield Super Block is a campus located in the heart of Seattle’s Central District containing Garfield High School, Quincy Jones Performing Arts Center, Garfield Teen Life Center, Medgar Evers Pool, Garfield Community Center, as well as the ballfields, tennis courts, and a playground. The Seattle Office of Arts & Culture (ARTS) is allocating $1.1 Million to fourteen organizations across the city to support arts and cultural organizations impacted by the pandemic and increase citywide recovery efforts.
