Darryl Foto, a Tacoma-based Cameroonian poet, discussed his journey into spoken word, the importance of elevating Black joy, and how his heritage shapes his work on mental health, self-reflection, and healing.

LIVt explored the unique music scene south of Seattle, discuss her work as a Black queer artist, and how she uses her storytelling to navigate the complexities of the Black experience, including themes of love, grief, and redemption.
