A Scoop of Local Love: Molly Moon's Ice Cream Becomes a Landmark on Seattle's Reimagined Waterfront

Molly Moon's Homemade Ice Cream celebrated the opening of its new shop last summer, establishing a major landmark on Seattle’s new Waterfront Park. Founder and CEO Molly Moon Neitzel shared her long-standing excitement about downtown Seattle taking down the viaduct and opening up to the gorgeous Puget Sound and Elliot Bay.

The grand opening served as a highlight of the strong local connections Molly Moon's has cultivated since 2008. Alex Thieman, owner of Lopez Island Creamery, expressed pride in his partnership with the company, noting that Lopez Creamery pasteurizes the cream to create Molly Moon’s ice cream base. Similarly, Jordan Schiefen, owner of Jardin du Soleil Lavender Farm, celebrated their eight-year collaboration, underscoring the importance of local producers like Molly Moon's using local products.

The new Waterfront location has thus positioned itself as a significant community addition and an anchor of the reconstructed Waterfront Park, representing the togetherness and community spirit that defines the area.
