For decades, Bubblin Brown Sugar has been giving our community goosebumps with the epic moves that happen on the floor, while creating nostalgic vibes from seeing different friends and family members that we haven’t seen for a while, due to a lot of us now not living in the central district anymore.

In 2024, Bubblin Brown Sugar once again took over the Garfield High School gym with different dance teams from across the greater Seattle area once again, leaving it all on the floor. This year‘s Bubblin Brown Sugar was a little bit different, as this time around, there wasn’t a panel of judges. The dancers were actually judged by the crowd. Some of the talented dance teams that hit the floor this were, The Throwbacks, NGT, Kutt’N’Up, Highline, and more.

While there, we talked with some of the dancers who performed this year at Bubblin Brown Sugar, some who have performed over the years, and more to find out what keeps them coming back every year.
