In 2021, Converge Media documented one of Seattle's beloved summer traditions: Jamal Crawford’s annual Pro-Am basketball tournament. The event, held at SPU’s Royal Brougham Pavilion, is famous for drawing local talent alongside NBA stars like Isiah Thomas, Kevin Durant, and Zach LaVine. 

For this piece, video producer Ike Everard took full ownership of the production, personally shooting, editing, and producing the entire video. Production received key assistance from Steve Hickey and Curtis Delgardo II, who provided gear and helped film the highly anticipated interview with NBA legend Jamal Crawford.

Everard dedicated two full days to filming the Pro-Am from the sidelines, capturing the action and interviewing players like Jaylen Nowell, Marquese Chriss, and local legend Shadeed Shabazz. A pivotal moment for the producer was the interview with Jamal Crawford himself, conducted from a box overlooking the court. Everard described the experience of meeting the NBA legend and telling the story of the Seattle tradition as a surreal and unforgettable honor.
