The 7th Annual MANE Awards Honors Washington’s Beauty Community

The Washington state beauty community recently came together for the 7th annual MANE Awards, hosted by Reign Of Style, to nominate and celebrate some of the region's best stylists, barbers, and estheticians. According to Reign Of Style CEO Aisha Ellis Asim, the goal of the event is to ensure that these talented professionals "feel seen, feel loved, feel appreciated."

For many winners, the evening recognized years of dedication. MANE Instructor Winner Keshayla Jewell shared that her hard work was applauded after nearly a decade in the industry, while Loctician Millie Thompson highlighted how the recognition validates the mental focus and effort required for her creative work. Shaniquah Humphrey, Winner in the Weavology Category, added that it "feels wonderful to be celebrated by your community."

The MANE Awards provides a necessary main stage for artists and creators, reinforcing that their contributions are highly valued. Michelle MiMi Lee, a nominee, summed up the local beauty scene simply: "In one word, it's life... we bring life to people and that's what this is."
