PHOTOS: Besa Gordon and Curtis Delgardo II On KSVR’s ‘The Re-Up’ in Mt. Vernon

#ConvergeOnTheRoad - The energy was high in Mt. Vernon, Washington when Converge's own Curtis Delgardo II, aka Cuddy, and Besa Gordon linked up with DJ Defkawn and DJ Troll King on “The Re-Up” on KSVR 91.7 FM radio. While Besa and Cuddy regularly light up the Black Media Matters Studio like nobody’s business, they’re also everywhere like air, demonstrating Converge’s commitment to connecting with the community on the road.

The Converge duo was welcomed with open arms at the community-based radio station, a station run by Skagit Valley College that has been broadcasting since the early 70s. Cuddy and Besa reported feeling right at home during their time on air. On “The Re-Up,” Cuddy spoke about the imperative nature of Black Media, and Besa highlighted the critical role of representation, emphasizing that little Black girls are watching and seeing what’s possible.

Big shout outs go to co-hosts DJ Defkawn and DJ Troll King for welcoming the Converge crew, which also included The Big O and Converge co-founder Erik Kalligraphy, alongside Thaartist Kali and DJ Peg who made appearances on the show. It’s safe to say that the good vibes in Mt. Vernon were well worth the drive up I5.

Stay tuned for the full story coming soon on Back2Besa, and keep catching us on the road. Where will the Converge team show up next?
