The Re-Sole 206 Combine Sneakers and Service with Sole Food: For The Community
The Re-Sole 206 is hosting Sole Food: For The Community, spearheaded by Takiyah “T-Dub” Ward, this Saturday, November 29, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. This special gathering is a marketplace rooted in care, culture, and connection, combining The Re-Sole’s sneaker donation program with local vendors, tasty food, and a deep dedication to uplifting the community.
The event is a collaborative effort, bringing together The Re-Sole 206 with House of Hattie and the Autumn Club. A key component is the sneaker giveaway, and The Re-Sole 206 is currently accepting donations of gently used sneakers so they can "breathe new life into them or give them to somebody who can actually utilize them." All proceeds from the event are dedicated to helping families in need, including the Black-owned community arts center Wa Na Wari, embodying T-Dub’s belief in supporting grassroots organizations already making a difference. The event truly champions the idea of shopping and giving with intention, and knowing where your dollar comes from and where it goes.
You can be a part of this community effort! Sole Food: For The Community will be held on Saturday, November 29, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at The Re-Sole 206, located at 1133 24th Ave Suite M in Seattle. Attendees can look forward to a day filled with delicious food, local vendors, a live DJ, and raffle prizes, all while contributing to a profound mission.
