The Seattle Mariners today announced that the 2023 Workout Day will take place on Wednesday, March 29 at T-Mobile Park. In addition to the full squad’s workout, the club’s players and coaches will participate in the Diamond Derby and Skills Challenge, a collection of competitions including a home run derby, fungo golf, bunt battle, and more.

The Road To The Dome ended Saturday night in Tacoma as the storied Garfield Basketball program reached a new height. The star-studded Bulldogs swept the 3A Girls & Boys State Championships, an accomplishment which few schools can ever claim. The Lady Bulldogs’ kicked off the Gold Ball Party by defeating Lake Washington 58-49 in the afternoon before the Boys beat O’Dea 69-50.

The Seattle Sports Star of the Year Awards took place last night at the Westin Hotel, and Converge Media was on the red carpet. Our Besa Gordon was there to take in the sights and sounds as icons like Ken Griffey Jr., Doug Baldwin and Jen Mueller, as well as legends in the making like Julio Rodriguez and Jewel Lloyd, were honored by the Seattle Sports Commission.

It was a night of celebration and extravagance as the GSBA Impact Awards took over Seattle’s McCaw Hall to honor individuals and businesses in the community. Hosted by Besa Gordon and Deaunte Damper, the event featured performances, fashion, food, music and more.

“Someone said to me that maybe folks of Color don’t enjoy a good beer. I called bull****,” Rodney Hines, owner and founder of Métier Brewing, said.

“I realized I needed to do something to create a space that didn’t exist for me.”
