Seattle U Redhawks Face Jackson State Tigers in HBCU Series Finale This Sunday

Do you have your tickets yet? The HBCU Seattle Series is back this weekend, promising an electrifying showcase of talent, culture, and sound straight from the heart of Historically Black Colleges and Universities' baseball programs.

This year, the series culminates in the Game 3 Finale on Sunday, March 8th, at T-Mobile Park, featuring the ultimate showdown between the Emerald City's own Seattle U Redhawks and the Jackson State Tigers.

The HBCU Seattle series carries on the legacy of the 2023 HBCU Swingman Classic, which demonstrated a huge appetite for HBCU representation and culture in the Northwest. With the incredible spirit of Swingman Classic fueling the progress, the series is a platform for boosting access and opportunities in baseball and softball across the Northwest. This success led Baseball Beyond Borders, in partnership with Seattle U and the Seattle Mariners, to make the Seattle Series an annual tradition.

"In Seattle, you showed up. Now, that legacy continues with something even bigger and closer to home,” BBB Founder and President Bookie Gates said.

In collaboration between Seattle U, the Seattle Mariners, and BBB, the 2026 HBCU Series’ three-game series will play out as follows:

Games 1 and 2: Today, Friday and Saturday at Bannerwood Park in Bellevue.

Game 3 Finale: Sunday, March 8 at 2 p.m. at T-Mobile Park.
