The Royal Room in Seattle's Columbia City neighborhood was transformed into a hub for hip-hop history and celebration last year, thanks to Miss Tish Productions and Tish Gallow. As Seattle's first hip-hop versus event with a live band, the community honored the profound influence and lasting genius of legendary producers Q-Tip and J Dilla. 

The night was packed with beats, bars, and beautiful storytelling, led by local heavy hitters Vitamin D and Roc Phizzle, who have been friends since childhood and share deep roots in the music industry. The event celebrated the powerful music lineage where Q-Tip trailblazed and Dilla innovated, pushing boundaries to another level. R

The Seattle all-star live band—featuring Dylan Hughes on bass, Darrius Willrich on keys, and Demarcus Bazemore on guitar—brought their iconic tracks to life, further enhancing the musical journey. The joyful occasion also celebrated Q-Tip's birthday. Summarizing the unity and musical appreciation of the evening, Vitamin D declared, "It was a good night to be alive and Black.”
